A Severe Extreme Heat Watch is in effect for the Santa Clarita Valley, Western San Fernando Valley, Eastern San Fernando Valley, Western San Gabriel Mountains and Highway 14 Corridor, Eastern San Gabriel Mountains, and Los Angeles County San Gabriel Valley until 25 June 2026, 21:00. The alert was issued by the National Weather Service (NWS).
The watch indicates that dangerously hot conditions may develop, with temperatures up to 100°F possible. The hottest days are expected to be Wednesday and Thursday.
An Extreme Heat Watch means that extremely hot temperatures may occur. These temperatures could lead to a high risk for dangerous heat illness, especially for the very young, the very old, those without air conditioning, and those active outdoors.
