Diesel prices are also high, averaging $6.468 per gallon. This puts California among the more expensive areas in the country for fuel, with gas prices 37.63% above the national average of $3.914 per gallon.

Compared to the national average for diesel, which stands at $4.832 per gallon, California’s diesel prices are notably higher. The spread between diesel and gasoline prices in the state is $1.081 per gallon.

California’s fuel prices are not only higher than the national average but also among the highest in the country. While California tops the list with gas prices at $5.387 per gallon, Texas offers the cheapest gas at $3.371 per gallon, highlighting the significant regional disparities in fuel costs.
