Severe Freeze Watch is in effect for Owens Valley North in California through 13 October 2026, 10:00, according to the National Weather Service (NWS). The watch was issued October 11 at 2:08PM PDT and is in effect from 11 October 2026, 14:08 until 13 October 2026, 10:00.
This Freeze Watch generally indicates that sub-freezing temperatures may occur and that frost and freeze conditions could develop. The advisory area could see sub-freezing temperatures as low as 30 possible from late Monday night through Tuesday morning. Impacts could include frost and freeze conditions that may kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.
For safety, call 911 for emergencies and follow guidance from the NWS and local authorities or emergency services. Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold, such as covering them or bringing them indoors. To prevent water pipes from freezing, wrap or drain exposed pipes or allow them to drip slowly. These actions may reduce the risk to plants and outdoor plumbing during the watch.
